Remote desktop won’t return to full screen

So a friend from work kept complaining that once he ‘restored’ the windows from full screen to window mode it was impossible to go back to full screen even if you ‘maximized’ the screen. I obviously paid no attention and couldn’t care until it happened to me when I got a new laptop. After doing some research and as you could suspect there are some resolutions which cause this ‘bug’ to happen. I’m not sure which screen resultions cause this but I’m using 1366 x 768 currently and that seems to be enough to trigger the bug.

Solution:

By pressing Ctrl+Alt+Break you are able to force the remote desktop window back to ‘full screen’ mode.
