How to Force Exchange EdgeSync Synchronization

When working with Exchange one of the core components that gets deployed is the Edge Server. This server as the name implies sits on the Edge of your firewall and allows for a more secured Exchange infrastructure. When you créate a new sync with an Edge server a great way of testing it is by checking if the EdgeSync is working propery. To achieve this you can use the following command line on the Exchange Management Shell:

 

Start-EdgeSynchronization -Server <Hub Transport server name>
