How to transfer your AD domain from one server to another?

I am currently trying to move my domain from a Windows 2003 server
to a Windows 2008 server box. It's been a while but I remember there are 4
basic roles that you need to transfer out from your current Domain Controller
in order to not need it any more. I am looking for a set of instructions on how
to transfer those roles out and what are they.
