How to turn off automatic cropping in HP Solution Center?

I've run into the issue that when scanning a document the HP solution center will crop more than it should. I would really like to just set it so that it scans everything within the paper size (letter size in this case). I've looked through the settings and haven't been able to find how to turn that off. I am trying to use the "scan document" function with OCR enabled.

By the way, I realize that under "Scan Document Settings" there is the checkbox "Automatically Crop Scanned Documents", but when I get the preview it automatically decides to crop the scan again. Why is that? Any thoughts?
